Mary Ann Johnson's Obituary
How do you describe an angel? You call her mom.
Mary Ann Johnson took her first breath on February 18th 1962 and her last on June 27th 2016. She was the 5th daughter of Howard and Helen Schultz and the daughter in law of John and Hazel Johnson; all who preceded her into paradise as well has 2 sisters, Teresa and Janet. Her older sisters Pam, Barbara and Laverna, with her younger brother David are still with us.
Mary was the matriarch to 3 strong women, 5 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Her oldest daughter, Nena Johnson with children Athena (Sharon), Kyla (Nekai), Nakeem, and Nalaya. Her middle daughter, Janine Johnson with child Ayniah. And her youngest daughter Anitra Johnson. Mary had many more who she help raised that called her mom, auntie, and nana.
Mary was a caregiver in all aspects of her life from home, work, and just about anywhere anyone was in need. She always put others first. With every angel here on earth she had to battle her personal demons over the years and we can proudly say, she won!!!
To all her friends who supported her in the darkest part of her life, we appreciate you for helping her along the way so she could shine her light on this world.
