My memories of Mary will always make me smile. She had a sharp tongued wit always sweetened by ending the statement with "honey!" I knew her only for the final decade of her life, but what I learned about her in that time provided a clear picture of who Mary Hartsell was as a person. She was strong. She was sweet. And, she was fiercely loyal to her family. She sacrificed her own needs if it meant that her children and grandchildren would benefit.
Mary, I appreciate that you gave Mindy the special relationship that everyone wishes that they had with their own grandparent. Because of your love and support, our family (Mindy, Sloane, Sasha, & Sean) will continue to benefit.
Thank you.
Your grandson-in-law,
Sean
My sweet, beloved Nanny-
I still can't believe you are gone. You have been my only constant, through your love I learned what "unconditional" meant. If not for you, who knows what my life would have become?
I have been lucky to have shared so many wonderful years with you and am glad you got to meet my girls. I really can't express how much I love you and how your passing will affect me in the future. You were the most wonderful grandma and best friend a girl could ever ask for.
I don't know what happens after our time on earth is over, but I sure hope I get to see you again. Thank you for loving me...
Mom you were the greatest Mother a daughter could ever wish for. God chose you as my Mother because he knew I needed someone strong in my life to keep me in line and what a wonderful job you have done.
I will do my best to watch over my sister Donna (Sissy) and brother David.
Your shoes I will never be able to fill but, I will try my best.
You are now (domma) home and we will meet again on the other side. Until then my sweet angel don't forget to look down on us and check on us from time to time.
Love always and a day,
Your daughter Debra
I was lucky enough to meet Mrs. Mary through her daughter Debra Antonette Hartsell. God brings special people into your life in special ways for reasons known only to him. I was very blessed to have been chosen to be a part of her life. May your health be restored to you and you see your Mother and Father again. I pray today you are surrounded by your loved ones. I will never forget you Mrs. Mary fly high with the angels. I love you always, all my love Lisa( your Pretty)
