On my mom's (Helen Sampson) 80th birthday, Mary was assigned the duty of getting my mom to the surprise party. We had all heard alot about Mary but many of the family had not met her. She arrived at my mom's house knowing that they would be picked up in a limo (my mom had no idea about that). So when the limo driver came to the door my mom was hurriedly trying to get ready. My mom opened the door and said "I don't have time for salesmen" and slammed the door. Mary opened the door and saw the stunned driver standing there and the limo out front. Thank goodness Mary was there or my mom would have missed her own birthday :). We all cracked up when they arrived and Mary told us the story. The driver got a very good tip. :)
Aunt Mary will be missed. I remember so many camping trips and her smile and laugh! I got to fish with my Uncle John and sit at the campsite and talk with my Aunt Mary. She lives to dance and loved the Eagles. Sending my condolences🙏❤️
