Marvin Gilbert Root, 76, passed away on October 28, 2014 in Puyallup, WA. He was born on August 9, 1938 in Tacoma, WA.
Marv, was a life long resident and graduated from Puyallup High School. He married the love of his life Andrea on August 5, 1972 in Tacoma, WA. They celebrated 42 years together.
He was a true family man, generous to all, always putting everyone's needs before himself including making sure your coffee cup was always full-n-hot. Marv was an avid antique collector and most recently, he had become a cruise enthusiast, traveling to domestic and exotic places such as Alaska, Hawaii, Thailand and the Bahamas.
Survivors include his wife Andrea; daughters Lori Root, Leah Martin and Kirstin Hartman; two grandchildren Jillian and Andrew Martin. He was preceded in death by his father Gil and sister Sheila Birdsall.
