Back in the days when only few families had a television, her family was one. I would join her to watch 'Howdy Dowdy', then run home 2 blocks in time for dinner.Their home surrounded by trees along the creek was so inviting. Hugs to all who had the pleasure to know her.

I met Martha and Tom when Martha was a commissioner for Water District No. 54 in Des Moines. She kept the (nonchlorinated) well water running for the citizens. Tom designed for painting the boat decor sailing 100 feet agl around the 250,000 gallon supply water tank, thus maintaining the "Waterland" theme for the City. They were a great couple that contributed much to the community. It is sad to see them leave.
