Martha Myrtle (Kapaun) Lee's Obituary
Martha Myrtle (Kapaun) Lee
Born September 7, 1945 in Tacoma, WA- Martha is survived by her loving husband Norman Lee and daughter Connie (Kapaun) Wahib. Her prior husband Eldon Kapaun (Jerry) passed away in 1989 and her son John Kapaun, most recently in 2011.
Martha was known for her kid like personality, for her love of gardening (always the greenest lawn on the street), any clocks that make LOUD noise-especially cuckoo clocks! She also enjoyed windchimes and solar power decorations for the garden. She loved to travel, take pictures, and would ALWAYS stop for a slot machine! She also watched a lot of movies that involved Godzilla, attacking aliens, or gigantic spiders! Not to mention anything on the SyFy channel.
There are so many memories of Mom (Martha) making us laugh. Her doing cartwheels on the lawn, mowing over EVERYTHING in the lawn except the grass, making the neighbor upset because her windchimes (all 50 of them) were keeping him up at night, or the time she clapped her hands at a driver who gave her a certain finger after she honked her car horn at him.
She put up a strong fight and had a strong will to live but finally gave up and said. "I am done".
A special thanks to all the family members who spent time with her in the last few months-especially her husband Norman. She was so lucky to have all of you in her life.
