Thank you for letting me learn from you during your stay at the UWMC.
Martha was one of a group of friends that met for breakfast every few months. She always had interesting things to say about the world, about life, her family and just things in general. I don't think that I've known anyone as intelligent and curious as Martha. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her - I know that I already miss her emails about something she found on the web that we should be aware of. Her spirit will abound as those of us who had the pleasure of knowing her share "Martha" stories to help ease her early passing from our lives.

Martha was my room mate at the UW, and I always appreciated her outgoing nature, which was a boon to this shy small town girl. Once, when I was out later than she was, I was touched to come back to our dorm room and find my bed turned down as a welcome home (and reminder to be quiet!)
Our circle of friends stayed in touch all of these years, through many moves and life events. We valued her friendship that much!
I know her family and friends will very much miss her love and steady advise. I hope that we all can continue to draw inspiration from our memories of her joy and love. She bequeathed her fine intellect and her beautiful smile to her dear children.
Love to all, Peggy Shull
Betty and I will miss Martha, she was one of only three first cousins I had. We enjoyed her visit to Charleston SC in May and said at that time we might never see each other again. We weren't thinking of Martha leaing us but because of the distance and I am 83 years old. The last time we saw Martha was when we cam to see her in 1997. Martha and Betty communicated thru emails over the years.
So sorry for all of our loss. Vic Scott
My prayers are with Martha's family and friends love to all Barbara Clarke
