Martha Edna Jaap's Obituary
Martha Edna Jaap was born in Thief River Falls, Minnesota on October 29, 1919. She passed away peacefully on June 19, 2004, in Tacoma, Washington. Martha grew up on the family farm in Park River North, Dakota. She then moved to Tacoma in 1941 with her husband, Archie. Martha is survived by her three children, W. Michael Jaap (Jeri), Pam Bell (Ken), and Debbie Day (Mike), sister Stella (Ernie), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Martha is preceded in death by her husband Archie, sister Olive, and grandson Graham. Martha loved to shop, play cards, bingo, and she loved music. Martha was many things to many people, always seeing the good in everyone. She will be missed for her smile, laughter, and baking. She never let anyone leave empty handed. Mom was a very giving person who opened her home to anyone and always took care of her many family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2004 from 9:00am Â- 7:00pm at Mt. View Funeral Home, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm in the Garden Chapel. Christian burial services for Martha will be on Saturday, June 26, 2004 at 10:00am, in the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
