I had the privilege and pleasure of helping to care for dear Martha during her last months of life. I never knew how our visits would turn out, but if she was in a bad mood we could usually work through it and end our visits with a laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor, spiced with some sarcasm (and a bit naughty (pleasantly) at times). I will surely miss her. What to say about Martha? She was a Mom and Grandma to all, we first met her in 1968, through Dan, and she became our Mom and a Grandma to our kids. The coffee pot was always on and her pies were the best, her humor was contagious and her love for her family was infectious.
