Marshall McLeod's Obituary
Marshall McLeod (1940 – 2026). Marshall was born, raised, and lived most of his 86 years in the Tacoma, Washington area. Marshall and his wife Linda, who were married for 59 years, made Fircrest their home for over forty years and for the other years they loved the “beach place” and during retirement years their “home was where they parked it.”
Marshall loved being on the Puget Sound from the Nisqually flats and fishing the point of Anderson Island to the San Juan Islands where he and Linda travelled by boat for decades. Marshall was a skilled electrician, working over 30 years for Tacoma Public Utilities. In retirement, they transitioned from traveling by boat to traveling by motorhome. For 25 years, they traveled in their coach throughout the United States with the best times during winters in Yuma, Arizona (“Tacoma South” because of the large number of PNW snowbirds) with friends, new and old. There were no strangers in Marshall’s life, only friends he had not met yet.
Marshall is survived by wife Linda, daughter Tina, and grandchildren Mackenzie and Jonah. He was preceded in death by son Patrick, parents William and Dorothy, and brother Bill.
