Marlys Ellen GallagherJanuary 22, 1934 Â- June 9, 2003Â"GRANDMAÂ"Marlys passed on to a better place in the early morning hours of June 9th, surrounded by family. Marlys was born in Bellriver Township, MN. She moved to Tacoma with her sister, Corrine in 1954. Marlys married Theodore J. Gallagher on July 11, 1959. Family soon became the foremost thing in her life. Other than her sons, her grandchildren were the joys of her life. In her later years, Marlys was what you would call Â"The Sample Lady,Â" working at several stores in the Tacoma area handing out samples of the newest products. Truly a special lady, you never heard her speak a bad word about anyone and always had a smile on her face. She leaves behind her husband, Ted; sons, Joe (Lorrie) and Mike (Carolyn); seven grandchildren, Nichole, Sean, Robert, Sarah, J.J., Bailey Marlys (her namesake), and Ryan; special aunt of Andrea (Jaime and Kyle) Bass; brothers, Bob (Gert) and Kenny Kallstrom; numerous family and friends. With thanks for the care that they gave to Mom, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Allenmore ICU.Visitation will be from 12pm until 9pm, Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Mt. View Funeral Home.Services will be at 12 noon, Friday, June 13, 2003 in the Mt. View Celebration of Life Building with graveside services following at 2:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery.
