Marlys Joan Berg's Obituary
Marlys (Darling) Berg passed away peacefully on June 7, 2014, at the age of 87. She and her husband, Richard, who preceded her in death in 2006, were lifetime residents of Tacoma. They were married for 59 years. She was a loving wife and mother.
She loved being a teacher's aide for the Clover Park School District for 25 years. She was also one of the founding board members for CenterForce and Tahoma House. Both groups assist people with special needs.
Marlys was predeceased by her son Martin, her brother Charles ans sister-in-law Norma Darling. She is survived by her son Richard (Cheryl), daughter Allison, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community for their exceptional care of our mother.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community chapel at 10:00am on Thursday June 12, 2014.
