Marlis K. Finnegan
Marlis K. Finnegan was born on September 20, 1931 in Everett, WA. Her family moved to South Tacoma where she grew up with her sister Jean.
She married the love of her life Bill Finnegan on December 18, 1953. They bought a home and raised 3 children Conni, Michael, and Pat. Marlis lived in the family home until 2005. She loved her family and her home.
Marlis worked at the Cloverleaf Tavern where she retired on July 5, 1992 with her friend Mitzi. They had worked there together for over 20 years.
After Marlis retired she enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her husband. She enjoyed the road trips they took. She looked forward to going on trips with her husband and family to Mount Saint Helens and Mount Rainier. She also enjoyed Leavenworth. Most of all she loved going to the ocean with her husband and daughter Conni.
After her husband passed in 2001 Marlis spent a great deal of time with daughter Conni and son Michael. They would spend hours on the telephone as well as spending time together. She is loved by all who knew her
In 2008 and 2009 she lost Conni & Michael due to cancer and Illness. Her granddaughter Kim and grandson in law David and her great grandchildren Sabrina, Chris & Steven have been there to take care of her and tried to fill that void. She was very loved and a very special lady. She is also survived by daughter Pat, nephew Bobby, grandchildren Danielle, Joseph, Michael Jr. and Zachary, great niece Donine and great great grandchildren Alexis, Xander, Lyla and Caeden.
