Marlene Marie Schiesz's Obituary
Marlene passed away on September 25, 2023, at her home in Fircrest surrounded by her family. She was 90 years of age and was a lifelong resident of Tacoma.
She graduated from Lincoln High School, Class of 1952. She was very active in high school, belonged to many clubs, sang in a trio called “The Three Dots” and was a Head Majorette. She was very proud of all her accomplishments.
Marlene retired from the Puyallup School District where she worked in the accounting department. She enjoyed working, her family and friends, and was a great conversationalist. She loved people and had a great impact on those who met her. She was a very generous, loving, and beautiful soul.
Her home was her pride and joy and she loved to garden. She was radiant and always sparkling “literally”.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Schiesz and is survived by her two daughters. Shawn Boen, Fircrest; Kimberly Hoffman (Gregg) Browns Point; Granddaughter, Ashley Kelly (Mat, Kace) Idaho; and extended Hoffman family.
A private memorial will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, between 12-3pm.
