Marlene Virginia Kern
Marlene Kern, born May 9th, 1933, passed away at home December 21st, 2015. Marlene was born in Tacoma, Washington to parents Roy Cook and Virginia Fisher. She was the first of 3 children, and attend Fife High School. After marrying her late husband, Robert Kern, she began a career as a bank teller while stationed in Georgia during Roberts Airforce deployment. She remained in the banking field until her retirement.
Marlene enjoyed a quiet life in her Milton home. In her younger days she enjoyed watching musicals, and movies with Barbra Streisand. As she got older, she enjoyed taking care of others. Her life was spent making sure her loved ones where happy and healthy. She was a giving and understanding women, and you could tell her anything without fear of judgment.
She is survived by her brother Carl Fisher and Sister Paula Curry; children Debra Mannon, Lori Kern and David Kern; grandchildren Jared Kern, Amy Mannon, Josh Mannon, Roy Schrader and Max Kern; and two great-grandchildren on the way.
At her request, a quite small home gathering will be held at a later date.
