Marlene was the sister I never had. She was always 9 months older than me and yes I would gloat on that in February. She was my mentor when I got to Lincoln High School as was her husband: Tom Kardash. Our mothers met in Salishan housing when our dads were at WWII. We didn't get to see our dads until I was almost two years old in 1945.
Marlene's face smiled all the time so for me all those moments that our paths crossed her face smiled with pure joy. I Thank you for brightening our lives with your gifts.

I have had the honor of meeting Marlene through her Daughter, my wonderful friend Marcy. Marlene was one of the sweetest Ladies I've met! She was easy to chat with & was so positive!
