I first met Mark at Mann Jr. High School(Lakewood) about 1966. We became very good friends and spent much of our time playing golf and tennis together. After getting our drivers licenses,we would drive around in my 67 mustang.
Mark loved music and started a brass band. He was a very good trumpet player and performed at Mt. Tahoma High School where my wife attended. His band appeared in one of her annuals.
One time while I was at Mark’s house, Mr. Ziebeck told Mark to get rid of his 1950 Ford business coupe that decorated the driveway. Mark called and was offered 50 dollars from a junk yard. I said that I would give him 50.00, but only had 12 dollars on me. We towed the car to my house. Mr. Z was happy as were Mark and myself.
I was saddened to here of Mark’s passing. I know this message is way too late and I wish I had known more. We think of you often Mark and will some day meet up again.
RIP old friend!
