Mark Kyle Chandler's Obituary
Mark Kyle Chandler passed away peacefully on January 31, 2020, in his home in Mountlake Terrace, WA. He was born January 27, 1967, in Charleston, SC. He was the son of Gary A. Chandler and Wendie L. Chandler. The Chandler family moved frequently as a result of Gary’s military career. Mark attended five elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools, in three different states, and three different countries (England, Germany and the U.S.). Mark graduated from Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Virginia, in 1985. He then moved across the country to join his brother and sister in Seattle, WA, and attended the University of Washington with them, eventually obtaining a B.A. in Geography. Before earning his degree Mark met Mariea Herrera, to whom he was briefly married.
Mark had a successful career as a salesman, spending time at companies like Wesco and All-Phase Electric Supply Company. At one point, Mark decided to open his own company. Unfortunately a difficult economy forced the doors shut on Chandler Supply, and Mark moved on to work with Colleen Hallett at Mobile Electric. During these years of changing companies, Mark met Brenda Sepanski-Fox who along with her grandson Jonathan would become two very important people in his life. Between his family-like relationship with his co-workers, and a long list of clients and friends, Mark had a large circle of people that enjoyed his company, his whip-like humor, and who join his family in mourning his loss. Mark is survived by his father Gary Chandler and stepmother Margaret Down; sister Megan Hudson, her husband Brad; brother Tod Chandler and his wife Cecilia Milan; stepbrother Robert Down, and six nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Mark’s life will be held at a date to be determined. A constant joy in Mark’s life was his canine companions. In that spirit, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to PAWS of Lynnwood.
