Marjorie Thompson's Obituary
Marjorie Elnora Thompson Born November 30, 1920 in Vassar, Kansas to Wayne and Lelia Stanley. Educated in Chivington, Colorado and attended Junior College near Chivington. She married William (Bill) Edward Thompson on June 15, 1942 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Marjorie worked at the local YMCA in Klamath Falls and for the United Way. She also worked as a medical receptionist for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to all. She loved family, church, gardening, baseball games and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Leroy Stanley and Carl Donald Stanley. She is survived by two daughters, Kay Lanier of Tacoma and Carl Miles of Klamath Falls; son-in-law, Mike Lanier of Tacoma; grandchildren Rebecca Sanders and Scott of Tacoma, WA, Mary Lanier of Tacoma, David Lanier (Gabriella) of Bonney Lake, Tracy Newton (Tom) of Bend, OR; great grandchildren, Mark Sanders (RaeAnn) of Puyallup, April Sanders of Tacoma, Joshua Newton and Reese Newton of Bend, OR; great great granddaughter, Alexandria Dawn Sanders of Puyallup.
Marjorie enjoyed visiting with her caregivers from Visiting Angels and the family is very grateful for the excellent, compassionate care provided for the past two years.
Funeral Services Saturday, 10:00 a.m. in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
