Marjorie Jean Martin's Obituary
Marjorie J. Martin was born on June 1, 1927 in Breckenridge, MN and passed away peacefully with her children by her side, on August 11, 2009, at her home in Lakewood, WA. Marge's greatest happiness was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother bringing joy and smiles to her family and friends. She had a big heart and will always be remembered for her selfless dedication and willingness to serve. Marge will be dearly missed by her daughter Laurie (Abraham), son Tim (Robin); grandchildren Abby, Cassie, Garrett, Timmy, Heather, Jonathan, Michelle (Bobby), Jared and Jesse; great-grandchildren AmberRose, Carissa, Danny, Emma Mae-Lynn, Evan and her countless friends. Marge has been reunited with her husband of 45 years Martie, father Edward, mother Clara, sisters Betty, Pat, brother Pete, and her special aunt & uncle, Marge & Bob. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 4:00-7:00pm at Mountain View in Lakewood. Memorial services will begin at 10:00am, Thursday, August 20 at Mountain View. Following services, a reception to celebrate Marge will be held at St. Frances Cabrini in Lakewood from Noon to 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts, serving as a humble testimony to Marge's commitment in making Catholic education affordable, may be made to establish the "Grandma Marge" Scholarship Fund as part of the 21st Century Fund - an Endowment for Cabrini Students.
