Marjorie E. Glock's Obituary
Marjorie Evelyn Glock Born March 27, 1917 Died August 28, 2006 Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend; proud wife of a military surgeon. Marge Glock, a long-time resident of Browns Point, passed away peacefully in her home August 28, 2006, surrounded by loving family and friends. She leaves behind her brother, James A. Vyskocil, four children (Charyl Anne, Jim, Barb and Marjorie Jr.) 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a fine flock of nieces and nephews, plus many dear friends. Marge spent her first few years in a homestead 'soddy' in Montana, her youth and early adulthood in Havelock, NB. She married Robert F. Glock (Bob) (USA ret) on August 8, 1941. He preceded her in death in September, 1989. Marge's passions were wide and inclusive. She was an inquisitive, life-long learner who loved music, reading, traveling, gardening, family genealogy and nature in all its many forms Â- birds, plants, geology, oceanography and more. She was a Master Birder and a Master Gardener, and she and Bob shared those passions with everyone who showed an interest, young and old alike. She was a long-time member of Eastern Star, Browns United Point Methodist Church, several garden clubs, Tahoma Audubon, the Native Plant Society and other organizations. Memorial services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Mountain View Valley Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Franciscan Hospice or a charity of your choice.
