Marion Thomas Fast's Obituary
Marion T. (Tom) FastTom Fast was born July 10, 1928 in Lawtey, Florida. He died November 13, 2004 at his home with his loving family at his side.Tom is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rebecca (Liz) Fast, sons Thomas A. Fast (Andy), Matthew A. Fast, wife Dawn and daughter Nikki; Michael R. Fast, wife Carolin and daughters Carson and Kennedy.He grew up in Penney Farms, Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida with high honors and was an avid Â"GatorÂ". He moved his family to the Northwest and was Director of International Marketing for the American Plywood Association and retired after 35 years of service to the company.Upon retirement Tom worked for his son MichaelÂ's company, MRF Construction as estimator and assistant for several years. He later did volunteer work for the new City of Lakewood as Chairman of the Transportation Committee. He was excited to see LakewoodÂ's improvements.Tom coached his sonÂ's baseball and soccer teams. He was a great father and family man, traveling and camping so that the boys could see the beauties of the national parks in our country. It was a great thrill having granddaughters and he adored them and was adored in return by them as their beloved Â"PoppyÂ".A service will be held Friday, Nov. 19, 2004 at Little Church on the Prairie, 6310 Motor Ave. S.W., Lakewood, WA, at 2:00 P.M.
