Marion Evangeline Bennett's Obituary
Marion Bennett "Together Again" Marion Bennett passed away on Wednesday, November 28th, after a long illness. She was born in Hoffman, Minnesota on October 15, 1918 to Helmer and Olga Olson. Marion met the love of her life, Robert V. Bennett, when she was the bride's maid of honor and he was the best man at a friend's wedding. Bob and Marion were married three months later, on January 23, 1943. Bob predeceased Marion in April of 2005. Their union produced four children: Robert (Barbara), Gary (Ginny), John (DeAnne), and Marilyn (John Verba). Bob and Marion have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Marion worked in sales at Sears for almost twenty years. Bob and Marion have been active members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church since it was dedicated in 1948. Marion was a longtime member of Hannah's circle, and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She spent hours volunteering at church functions. She had a reputation for outstanding blackberry pies, and her children still recall the baked goods that were part of their childhood. Viewing will be on Monday, December 3 at Mountain View Funeral Home from 11am to 9pm. Memorial services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at 11:00am at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 101 East 38th, in Tacoma.
