Ah, Marilyn: I miss you so much. Your phone calls, your unique approach to life and love inspired me to reach a bit deeper, be a little more direct, and to rid myself of excess "stuff". I'm still working on the latter! All the memories of the duplex where we played dolls, playing doctor in the basement on Maners Lane, our folks' trip to Jackpot and Don's "horror" story...digging clams at Cepalis Beach...all these memories are woven together with your sense of fun and joy for life. In the tough times, you'd set your jaw and gut it out. Most of all I will always remember your questions. They always cut through all the emotion, the excess words...to the heart of the matter. You provided the light for us when we got lost in all the minutiae of the moment. Your genuine honesty rid us of all pretense and the moments spent with you became richer, more precious. The moments were too few, the words too sparse, the hugs too short for now all we know is a desperate sense of longing to reach out and hear just one more word, to touch you one more time, to tell you we will love you and what you were to us forever.
