Marilyn K. Johnson's Obituary
Marilyn K. Johnson Marilyn Johnson, 91 years of age, passed away peacefully on January 30th, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Seattle, Washington, and resided much of her life in Pierce County. Marilyn retired from University Place Elementary School as a teacher, and loved to travel with her loving husband Ray Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was very involved at First Presbyterian Church until age made it too difficult to attend. She loved her family, socializing with friends, church events, and shopping. She is survived by her brother Jay Jenkins, daughters Joette Porter (Cliff) and Marykay Duran (Jake), grandchildren Kristen Gottlieb (Mike), Ben Porter, and Dylan Duran (Lauren), and five great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Sat., Feb 10th, at the Weatherly Inn, 6016 N Highlands Pkwy, Tacoma. A special thanks to the staff at the Weatherly Inn for her excellent care.
