Marilyn took me in and was there for me when no one else was. She was kind, understanding, forgiving, intelligent, funny, and wise. Her energy lives on in myself and all the people she touched. I will always hold her memory with deep respect, gratitude and admiration and I have no doubt that after she opened her home for so many, the gates of heaven open for her as she more than earned her place in God's home.

I'm gonna miss you! I think a lot of us are still in denial, that you are actually gone! I honestly thought, you'd live forever! I have many wonderful memories of your house growing up, and as an adult playing cards and just hanging out! I thank you for your candor, and always just saying just how you felt! Sis, I will miss visiting with you at church and playing “Hand and Foot” after church. I swear you were cheating all the times you beat me. I was not ready and I am still not ready for you to leave me. You have always been there in my life. You will always have a special place in my heart.
