Marilyn Dawes Crosby's Obituary
Marilyn completed her journey in life on September 27, 2015 at 5:00am from the complications of a stroke. Marilyn was born on November 9, 1925 in Madison, Wisconsin, and then moved to Minneapolis in 1938, later moving to Tacoma in 1962.
Marilyn was a member of the Norma Auxiliary to support Ed in the Normanna Male Chorus, was a volunteer at St. Clare Hospital in Administration for 20 years, was a life member of the Gallopin' Gerties Model A Ford club, was a longtime member of Chapter DV of PEO, and a member of the Quilters and Altar Guild at Christ Lutheran Church. Marilyn was a good friend of many and a willing worker in the community. Marilyn enjoyed gourmet cooking, tole painting, quilting, and gardening.
Marilyn leaves behind her husband Ed, daughters Cynthia (Leif) and Janice (Greg), son Paul (Sandra), seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Mariliyn and Ed had been married for 68 years. During that time she had been a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church, 8211 112th St SW, Lakewood. A light lunch follows. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the music fund at Christ Lutheran Church.
