Marilyn A. Meyer's Obituary
Marilyn Meyer went to be with the Lord October 15th after 75 years of life and 55 wonderful years of marriage to her loving husband Donald LeRoy Meyer. She was born in Tacoma WA, October 3rd 1930 to Bernard and Alice (Jackie) Wheelon and was a 1948 graduate of Lincoln High in Tacoma. She first spied Don when he was a soldier stationed in the Army at Fort Lewis. The rest is history.Marilyn is survived by her lifelong husband Donald, her three children and their spouses: Michael and Laura Meyer of Spanaway, Cindy & John Hjelmaa-Sitton of Silverdale, and Judith & Ron White of Bay Center, WA. Pat also cherished and adored her grandchildren Aaron, Birni, Courtney, John, Stephanie and Jillian and her new great-grandchild Carter.Surrounded by the family she loved so much, she taught us her final lesson, to leave with the dignity and grace she lived her life. In the end beauty became her.She now rests at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the dedicated nursing staff at Tacoma General Hospital 4th floor CCU team #1 and social worker staff. Our family thanks them so much for their skill, dedication and compassion. God bless you all.
