Marie O. Vivar's Obituary
Marie O. Vivar, age 65, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on May 12, 1953 in San Pedro, CA. She passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Marie was greeted in heaven by her mother Concepcion, husband Jaime, son Jonathan, and niece Christine. She is survived by her daughter Joy (Michael), grandchildren Jeffrey, Sydney, and Katelyn; brothers James (Rose), Dale (Lea), Paul (Lupe), Tony, and Kevin (Jessica); family-in-laws Art, Virgie (Mario), Raul (Ailee), Bong (Precila), Eva (Gerry), and Loy (Lea); and many cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends here and throughout the world. Marie had a heart-warming smile and was a devout Catholic. She filled her retirement years watching her grandchildren grow and spending time with friends and family, and especially loved her free time to visit local casinos and playing bingo. She loved her family, friends, and church, was loyal and unselfish, and touched many lives with her generosity and willingness to help whomever and however she could.
Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Saturday, September 29th and Sunday, September 30th, A Rosary will be conducted daily at 5:00pm, at Mountain View Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Lakewood.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. (10:00 a.m. Rosary) Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 7025 S Park Ave. Tacoma, 98408. Interment to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood at 1:30 p.m., followed by a reception at the Celebration of Life Chapel, Oak Room. Parking will be limited at both location.
