Oh how well we remember that our oldest three children had the priviledge of attending James Sales Elementary while Marie was principal. I also had the priviledge of working with her in several capacities. She was a great lady and a wonderful friend. Feel so blessed to have known her. She knew our children individually and had an impact on all of us. We send our prayers and best wishes to all of her family.

I worked in the Franklin Pierce School District administration office for 25 years. During that time, I knew and worked with Marie as a teacher, principal and education specialist. She was the most compassionate, caring, dedicated, kind and giving person I have ever known. She left her mark on everything she did. There were and still are few of her kind. I have always been amazed at how Mom could raise five children and maintain an active career in education. She has been a great role model and support to me as well as to all the people she taught, counseled and mentored during her life.
