Kind, generous, caring, sense of humor, a proud Scot are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Aunt Marian. When least expected she would send candy, cookies, a note or call. Aunt Marian would always go down the list inquiring about various family members and how they were getting along. She was always generous. Just about a week or so ago she wrote a check for my granddaughter's scout troop. Years ago, I remember she visited me in the hospital when my son was born. I still remember the gift she brought along for me. We could always discuss various issues. I could always get the unvarnished truth. I loved that about her. She loved her children, always selfless, putting them first. As all of you go forth remember the lessons she has taught and the example she set. She was my friend for more than 40 years. I miss her already.
I'm certain there were bagpipes as the Heavenly Choir welcomed Aunt Marian to heaven.
Rest in peace Auntie.
