Marian R. St. John's Obituary
Marian Ruth St. John passed away Thursday evening, May 1, 2008, at St. Joe's Medical Center. Marian was born in 1925 in Red Cloud, Nebraska. After growing up in Nebraska and Wyoming, she moved to Tacoma and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1943. She married James St. John in 1945, and they settled in Tacoma, where he worked for the Puget Sound National Bank for the next 40 years. Marian worked for a time at People's Store, but really found her role in life as a housewife and mother. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Zora Temple, and the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband James, son Ken, daughter-in-law Lulu, granddaughter Jennifer and grandson Ryan. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses of St Clare Hospital and St Joe's Medical Center, who were so very caring and kind during her illness. After cremation, she will be buried alongside her mother, Bertha. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 9, 2008 at Mountain View Memorial Park.
