Marian W. Gee's Obituary
Marian Wilkinson Gee
April 25, 1921 - Nov. 17, 2014
Marian, Mom, Mimi/Grammie will be remembered for her kindness and respect to all; her strong moral fiber and guidance; and her steadfast love for her family.
She graduated from Stadium High School and attended UPS. Marian worked as secretary to UPS President, Dr. R. Franklin Thompson. She was an active, 50-year member of PEO and served as president of Chapter C inTacoma. Marian cultivated many precious friendships through PEO, Oakbrook Golf and Country Club, her bridge groups, UPPC, and her last seven years at Narrows Glen. She created many memories with Will during their travels to Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. She had a passion for entertaining and cooking, which was enjoyed by all - especially her family, to whom she leaves a legacy of favorite recipes, entertaining expertise and ingrained traditions.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Will Gee; son, David (Christopher) Gee; son, Dan (Marilyn) Gee; and daughter, Susan (Kevin) Regan. She spent many happy hours loving and caring for seven grandchildren: William, Logan, Sally, Matt, Annie, Brynn, and Brady. Her two great-grandsons, Jourdan and Oliver, were her “icing on the cake.” She took pride and found endless joy in loving, supporting and nurturing them all.
A memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at 11:00am at the University Place Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation to PEO Chapter C is suggested:
