Maria C. Taday's Obituary
Maria Concepcion “Connie” Senato Taday passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 86. She was born in Baguio City, Philippines on March 18, 1931 to Lorenzo C. Senato and Rosario (Belarmino) Senato.
She was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Taday, Sr., daughters Gloria Aggabao and Rosario Sarzona and grandson Ferdinand Taday. She is survived by her daughter Beatriz Taday (Michael Brown) and son Francisco (Rhonda) Taday, Jr.; nine grandchildren: Giselle (George) DeGuzman, Gem (Brian) Obermiller, Jinx Aggabao, Francis Ian, Ritchie (Kali) Sarzona, April Sarzona, Francis (D’annah) Taday, Alex Taday and Bea Taday; great-grandchildren Diesel, Rastafari, Jobe, Logan, Braden, Jianna, Kenji and Yuri; sisters Carlota Zabala, Annie Valdez, Leony Arellano, Vicky Delacruz; brothers Eddie Senato and Larry Senato and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Connie was an entrepreneur, operating multiple businesses in the Philippines before migrating to the United States in 1986 with her husband where they settled in Tacoma, WA. Connie worked with Trident Seafood for 12 years and Brown & Haley for 11 years. She was a hard worker and persevered in the U.S. Through her hard work she was able to help send her grandchildren to college, all of whom are successful in their own chosen fields. During her retirement years, she found joy in spending her days with family, especially her great grandchildren Jobe and Braden and her dogs Weezy and Joey.
Connie will be dearly missed by her family, friends and dogs. The family is extremely grateful to the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A visitation will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home & Crematory, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Lakewood, WA, 98499 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017. A funeral service will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Gene Delmore, SJ officiating. A reception will be immediately following in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center (same address).
