I remember while visiting Dennis & Lori, we would go to Graciano & Maria's (Mr & Mrs Pingul) home. My husband Jim was in the Army at that time. Mr Pingul would tell the most interesting stories of his time in the service. Jim & I would hang on every word with admiration & respect & in awe. I remember the look of pride, admiration & love on Maria's face while we sat & listened. I remember thinking what a joy to still be that in love after all those years of sacrifice as a Military wife & mother. Maria always had something yummy on hand hat was a Filipino delight. I will remember her quiet grace & strength she had. What a Blessing for me to glean from a remarkable woman such as Maria. Rest in Peace Maria & enjoy your freedom from this world into the next with your Heavenly Father.
