Maria Groux's Obituary
Maria Groux was born June 21, 1936 in Huttenbach, Germany and was the youngest child of Johann and Elizabeth Muller. She died peacefully surrounded by her two daughters Manuela and Debra and her son in-law Frank.
She was married to the love of her life, Donald Mark Groux on November 8, 1958 in Huttenbach, Germany until his death on March 31, 2001. Being married to a career military man, they traveled extensively until his military retirement and settled into their permanent home in Tacoma, Washington where she lived for 41 years until her death.
Maria was a homemaker and the proud mother to her two daughters, Manuela (Frank) Tucker and Debra (Jim) Belford. Her oldest granddaughter, Tiana Anne-Marie Harvey preceded her in death at the age of nine on February 28, 1990. She is survived by granddaughters Christina (Todd) Dennis, Autumn (Erik) Nystrom, grandsons Jimmy Belford, Nicholas Dennis, Seth Belford, Cody Belford and great grandsons Collin Jenkins and Barrett Nystrom and great granddaughters Shianne Dennis and Anora Nystrom.
Maria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. She was also a very loyal friend to many with some friendships spanning a lifetime.
Maria will be greatly missed but we are comforted by the knowledge that we will someday be reunited with her in heaven. We Love You Mutti and Oma. Now Rest in Peace.
