Maria Agamata Felipe's Obituary
Lakewood- Maria A. Felipe, 96, peacefully went to be with the Lord Tuesday the 12th of February at the Franciscan Hospice House.
Born September 30, 1922 in Laoag City Ilocos Norte Philippines to the parents of Torquatoc Agamata and Aguida Agustin she was a talented seamstress and met her husband Hermenigildo Felipe and married him at the age of 30. She had four children with him Nenet, Francisco, Marilyn, and Yolanda. At the age of 55 she took care of her grandson Lu Razon when he was 3 months old and on October 31st 1990 they both moved to the city of Lakewood to live with Maria’s daughter Nenet where she resided until her passing.
Besides being a skillful seamstress she was an active member of the Filipino International Christian Fellowship being one of the founding members in 1991. If there was Bible study, prayer meeting or service she was excited to go and enjoyed the presence of her church family. She also loved spending time with her friends, children, 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She always had a heartwarming smile and genuine attitude of love to everyone around her.
Maria has preceded in death by her husband Hermenigildo her parents Torquatoc and Agulda and her son Francisco. She is survived by her sister Martina and children Nenet Marilyn and Yolanda
Service to celebrate Maria’s life will be held at Mountain View Funeral home in Tacoma. Visitation will be from 9-6p.m. on Thursday February 21, 2019 and Memorial Service will be held in the Aspen Chapel at Mountain View Friday February 22, 2019 at 3 pm.
