Marguerite Robinson
Marguerite Alvina (Oberson) Robinson passed away November 8, 2008, at the age of 94. She was born in Colfax, WA, October 8, 1914 to Henry and Alvina Oberson, the fifth of six children. Marguerite graduated from Sacred Heart Nursing School in Spokane, WA in 1937, and joined the US Army Nursing Corps in 1939. She was a Pearl Harbor survivor who served her country for 14 years as an Army nurse. She continued to serve as a Red Cross volunteer for many years after her discharge. Marguerite was a loving wife and caring aunt to her six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Lt.Col. Herbert (Robbie) Robinson, in 1990. She is survived by her three nephews, three neices, and three generations following. She will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her so dearly. Our family and country have been blessed by her support and dedication. Marguerite's service will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2008, in the Mountain View Garden Chapel in Lakewood, WA. Remembrances can be made to the USO, American Red Cross, or Operation Support Our Troops (OSOT).
