Margot Sophie Elisabeth Goelker Bryant's Obituary
Margot Sophie Elisabeth Goelker Bryant
Margot Bryant passed away quietly on September 2, 2014 after a fairly short illness beginning in July, 2014. Until then, she was active and engaged in life. She was born July 13, 1930 in Meiningen, Germany, the youngest of three girls.
Margot was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Bryant on May 14, 1994, and her beloved oldest child, Klaus-Bernd Bryant on March 7, 1995. She is survived by her two remaining children, Kristina E. Bryant of Vashon Island, WA, and Alexander J. Bryant (Liz) of Lompoc, CA, in addition to two grandchildren, Torsten Bryant Sorensen, Vashon Island, and Justin Alexander Bryant, Lompoc, as well as nephews and extended families in Germany.
Margot enjoyed traveling to her beloved Germany, her most recent trip in 2012. She had a love for reading and cross-word puzzles. She was passionate about classical theater and classical music, especially the German composers. She also loved jazz and blues. Margot spent many years (20+) as a Red Cross volunteer at Madigan Hospital. Margot was an elegant, classic woman who will be deeply missed by those who love her. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Red Cross would be appreciated.
Services are pending at Tahoma National Cemetery.
