Margie C. Chaloner's Obituary
Born Oct. 26, 1903 in Wheelock, ND. Passed away Dec. 3, 2004 in Tacoma, WA. MargieÂ's early years were spent on a farm in North Dakota. She attended Teachers College in Spokane, WA, and attained her teaching certificate at the age of 18. She taught elementary school in rural North Dakota for several years, where she met my father. They were married on Jan. 24, 1929.Four children were born over the following seven years. The family moved to Tacoma after WWII began and she taught at Business College for several years. Her final employer was American Plywood Association, where she was a secretary until her retirement.Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband Elmer and her two daughters, Ramona Coffel and Clella Baker.She is survived by her sister Grace Marohn (Olympia), two sons Dale (Jacksonville, FL) and Sid (Tacoma), 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 12PM - 9PM on Friday, Dec. 10th at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, December 11th in the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
