Aunt Marge,
I remember the time she and Aunt Erma came to Indiana and stayed at my house. How very special that was for my family. What else can I say that hasn’t already been said about a wonderful special person who touched many in her 100 years here on Earth. So happy her day to be with our Lord finally arrived. Jeanne Zahl
This woman was an amazing example for all of her nieces and nephews, and anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. I really looked up to her and admired her wonderful positive attitude on life and her great fortitude. She would take us to Wright Park whenever we stayed with her, teaching us about the world around us and just having fun and taking care of each other. She used to take us to church when we were quite young, and always had pencils and paper and lots of horehound candy to keep us occupied and quiet. She was a kind, loving person, who trusted people in spite of many tragedies in her life. I didn't live close most of my adult life, but I always kept in touch...I will miss her terribly. Margaret Zahl was a wonderful Sunday School teacher when I was in 7th grade at Temple Baptist Church and then my friend when I was older and would go visit her even towards the end of her life at Tacoma Lutheran Home. She so wanted to go Home to Heaven. She will be missed but I know that I will see her again in Heaven!
What a wonderful woman who was truly a saint. Margaret was my Sunday school teacher as well as many other girls over the years. She loved Jesus and He radiated His love through her. Margaret and my mother Edith McReynolds had many adventures together in their later years. She was a special friend. How wonderful and fitting that she got to see Jesus on Christmas.
Aunt Marge was one of a kind. She truly loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life accordingly. She was 8 years older than her brother "Bob' (my father) and served as his 2nd mother quite often. Marge told me over 25 years ago (that would have made her @ 75) that she was ready to 'meet the Lord.' Well, the Lord had other plans. We celebrated her 100th birthday last November 4th and she was chipper and looked great for her age. We will all miss her but we rejoice that she is finally at home with her Lord.
