Margaret Ann Wilkinson's Obituary
Margaret Ann (Humm) Wilkinson began her final journey to walk with the Lord on September 3, 2020. She was born in Superior Nebraska to her parents Robert and Leone Humm, soon after moved to Camas, WA and then her parents settled in the town of Steilacoom.
Margaret enjoyed all the journeys she and her husband Larry had together. Traveling to all the states in the US and many trips to Europe. They were a wonderful team! November 11, 2020, they would have been married 62 years.
Margaret thrived on motherhood. She was involved as a homeroom mother, president of the P.T.A., supported the Lakes High School Choir, lead Blue Bird and Camp Fire Girl groups, and hosted many a birthday party for her daughter Carrie and her friends
Margaret was also very involved in in the Town of Steilacoom with her husband. Together with Steilacoom friends, started the Steilacoom Historical Society, and chaired numerous committees for town events. In addition, she was president of the Town and Country Dance Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the Land Surveyor’s Association of WA, the local Orthopedic Guild, and organized the first Steilacoom garden tour for the sesquicentennial celebration.
She will be remembered for great love of life, family, friends and God. Margaret is survived by her husband, George (Larry) Wilkinson, her daughter Carrie Wilkinson and son in law John West and her sister Lorraine (Kay) Humm.y, we are following all guidelines set by local, state and CDC officials.
