Margaret Nettie (Oppen) Burke
Born June 11, 1927, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Lewiston, Idaho on April 21, 2009 surrounded by her family.
Nettie was born the 7th of 11 children to Gilbert and Bessie Oppen in Pendleton, Oregon but was raised in and around Roslyn, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Bessie, her husband Wayne, daughter Kathy, sisters and brothers Pearl, Roy, Ethel, Karl, Vi, June, Dick, and baby brother Frank.
Nettie is survived by her sister Betty Stone of Ellensburg, Washington and brother Jerry Oppen of Sun City, Arizona, four children Sharon (Larry) Stamper of Lewiston, Idaho, Dan (Marty) Huss of Bonney Lake, Washington, Ed Huss of Imperial Beach, California, and Trish (Jeff) Luce of Spokane, Washington, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
When you think of Margaret Nettie Oppen Huss Burke, Nettie or Mom, smile and be at peace with the knowledge that she never forgot the importance of family and that she is not alone.
