Margaret Lucy Eggimann's Obituary
MARGARET L. REYNOLDS EGGIMANN A love of life, a devotion to her family, and a playful sense of humor carried Margaret Eggimann through 89 years. She passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008. Margaret was born July 13, 1919, to Hazel and Howard Reynolds in Umatilla, Oregon. Shortly after her birth, the Reynolds family moved to Tacoma. She was a 1937 graduate of Lincoln High School and a proud Lincoln Letter Lassie. She married Robert (Bob) Eggimann on January 1, 1940. They built their home in Firwood (now Fife) and she continued to live in that home for 68 years. She worked for Maloney's Floral Shop for 17 years. She had a passion for flowers and shared her creations with many friends and family. She took great pride in her garden. Margaret gave vegetables and flowers to anyone who would enjoy them. She loved to decorate for every season and holiday and enjoyed dressing up for holidays at the Milton Senior Center. Margaret is predeceased by her parents Howard and Hazel Reynolds, her husband Bob, her sisters Mildred Kuhne and Doris Woodruff, her son-in-law Ernie Schaaf, and many dear friends and relatives. She is survived by daughters Judie Schaaf and Donna Grappe, granddaughters Deanna Dillon (Dave), Kelley Rose, and Kristin Holten (Mike), and great grandchildren Kayleigha and Karalyn Holten, Nickolas and Lacey Rose, and Anna Dillon, and nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 3rd at noon in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood. A reception will follow in the Oak Room.
