Margaret Lehrke's Obituary
Our beloved grandmother, Margaret Lehrke, 88, passed away peacefully Friday, January 7th 2005, surrounded by loving family. She was born in Hampton, Iowa and grew up in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, where she lived for 80 years. She was pre-deceased by her husband (William) of 57 years. She has lived with her family in Tacoma for the last 7 years.She is survived by two daughters: RozAnn (Gary) Peterson, Tacoma, and Cynthia (Larry) Brinkman, LaCrosse, WI. She also leaves three grandchildren: Karin (Tom) Catey, with great-grandchildren Kyle 8, and KC 5, Puyallup; Sarah (Dan) Stevens, with great-children Destiny 7, and Slater 3, Puyallup; and Daniel Peterson, Seattle; cousin Ceil Hickey, LaCrosse, WI; and a multitude of family and friends both in LaCrosse and locally.A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses, and therapists who were so kind and compassionate over the last few years of her life; and to her helpers: Heather Carroll, Michelle Morris, Sarah Pollock, and others.Her memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, Jan 12 at the Pagoda at Pt Defiance Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday in LaCrosse, WI. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
