Margaret Drucilla Chantry Gray age 81, passed away July 26, 2014 in Lakewood, WA. She was born on March 6, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA to Kenneth N. and Margaret (Loper) Chantry. Margaret graduated from L.A. High School and then attended Stanford University. In 1954, Margaret married Garold Gray of Tacoma, whom she met while both attended Stanford. She has lived in the Lakewood-Tacoma area since approximately 1957. She worked for a number of years as a Realtor for Harold Allen Realtors. She volunteered at the Grand Cinema, was a member of the Lakewood Racket Club, Junior League of Tacoma, Unity Church of Tacoma, and often volunteered at the Lakewood Playhouse. She loved good food, good wine, skiing and The Boss. "Maggie" was a vibrant, outgoing, active woman who had an opinion that she loved to share on every subject. All who knew her would appreciate her strong life force, her energy, and her commitment. She was proud of her children and was an expert on many subjects. You all know this because she told you so. She is survived by her sons Judson C. (Gayle) Gray and G. Todd (Gina) Gray; sister Melinda Leonhardt and seven grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter Melinda (Mindy) Habersetzer. A celebration of her life service is pending; more information in September 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maggie's name to The Grand Cinema. She will be at Mountain View.
