Margaret Ann Dorris' Obituary
Margaret Ann (Key) Dorris born April 15, 1946 in Farmville, Virginia to Hazel and Lola May Key. Margaret’s struggle with Parkinson’s and Rheumatoid Arthritis ended, Wednesday, June 2, 2021in her home in Tacoma, Washington.
Margaret was preceded in death by husband Paul of 59 years, her parents Hazel and Lola May Key, her siblings Shirley, Barbara, George, Howard, Sue, Roger, Tommy, Lila, and Frankie, and her great-grandson, Emery.
Margaret, also known to everyone as “Nanny” is survived by daughters Mary Ann and Paulette (Sheryl McIntire), and her son, Chris (Lee Green); her granddaughters Ashley and Nicole (Josh) and her great-granddaughters Andersen, Everleigh and Emaline; her siblings Nancy, Jane, Billy, and Mike, and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Margaret was a housewife, tobacco farmer, monitor on a school bus for blind children, and a factory worker.
She enjoyed gardening and even won Master Gardener one year in Portland, TN.
A memorial service will be held later this summer in Gatlinburg, TN for family and friends.
