Margaret Ann Bellard's Obituary
Margaret Ann Bellard (Clay) September 16, 1937 to November 26, 2022. A long time resident of Fircrest, Washington, Margaret passed away peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2022 in Tacoma, Washington. Born in Elgin, Texas, Margaret moved to Tacoma as a child with her family and was the eldest of five daughters. She attended Lincoln High School. Margaret was married to Lanzy J. Bellard, a Korean War veteran and business owner. The couple lived in Seattle, where they raised their two children, Clay and Lisa. Margaret was a certified nursing assistant for more than 30 years and retired from Tacoma Lutheran Home after 19 years of service. Margaret was an avid reader, enjoyed movies and TV series with complicated characters, and loved solving crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to yearly family reunions, and collecting decorative heart shaped boxes. Margaret was a generous supporter of charitable organizations, including the Southern Poverty Law Center, Special Olympics, PBS, and the NAACP. A devoted and supportive mother, sister, and friend, she is survived by her son Clay "Tony" Bellard, daughter Lisa Bellard, and sister Dorothy Delguidice.
