I was so saddened to read that Mrs. Kenrick had passed away. I really reflected on what a wonderful person she was.
Having gone on many Idaho trips in the Summer and serving as Grand Editor in 1989-90 I was so privledged to know Mrs. Kenrick.
She truly was the most wonderful woman and gave everything she had to the girls and Rainbow. She always had an encouraging word or a smile for you no matter how busy she was. How she ever remembered ever girls name I will never know.
Thank you Mrs. K for everything you ever did for Rainbow. You will be missed.

At my second Rainbow meeting as a member of Tacoma #2 Mrs. K. showed up. It was initiation and I was a last minute pro-tem for religion. I was petrified. I cried through my part. She came over after and said, “Audrey, you did a wonderful job. Enjoy Rainbow.†And I did- every blessed moment. When I was elected Grand Charity and reached the podium to accept she hugged me and whispered in my ear, “I knew you had it in from that first ceremony when you were religion.†A year ago Mrs. K was in the hospital at Allenmore and I stopped to say hello and walked in her room and she said, “Well, Audrey how wonderful to see you.†This amazing woman never forgot a name or a face and made you feel like you were the most important person on the face of the earth. What a blessing she was to all of us. I will never forget her.

Mrs. Kenrick made a difference in my life. I feel privileged and blessed to have known her. She lived her life with grace and honor and kindness.
She and her sister, made me embarrassed and laugh, at the same time, when I was once sick in a hotel bathroom with food poisoning and the two sisters were debating if it was flat coke or fizzie 7-up that you should give to a sick girl!

When I first joined Rainbow my mom would always tell me the fond memories of Mrs. Kenrick, her Supreme Deputy when she was in Rainbow. When I finally met Mrs. Kenrick I could not believe what spunk and character she had! She is such an inspiration to many girls because she was always smiling and enjoying herself no matter what the occasion or the circumstances. What a wonderful warm and loving lady. She always had a smile and a word of caring for everyone. I have fond memories of her in the 1950's and 60's when I was a Rainbow Girl and in the 80's and 90's when my daughters were active in Rainbow.
