Nancy and family,
I am truly sorry for your great loss. I did not have the priviledge of meeting Allan, however, it is abundantly clear what a loss his passing is.
Know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Nancy, as difficult as it is, please take care of yourself and know that there are many of us that are here for you.##imported-begin##Andrea (deedeerose - HW)##imported-end##
I first met Allan in Germany in the '70s when four of us, including Eileen and Wally, were on vacation in Germany. Each morning we'd stop by to plan the day's trip; each evening we'd come back to his house to sit around and chat, drink Allan's beer, and laugh about the day's adventures and misadventures. Over the following years our paths would cross once in a while. Allan was so easy to know, and be comfortable with. I know he'll be missed sorely by his family and friends.##imported-begin##John McClintock##imported-end##
Joan and I were saddened to hear of Allan's death. I had the privilege of working with Allan at I Corps HQ from 1986-1989. He was the chief communications planner for I Corps on numerous field exercises in Korea, California and Washington. Allan was an exceptionally detailed staff planner who was trusted and respected by everyone in the I Corps HQ. He also had a great sense of humor and had a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances. If Allan told someone that something was done, it didn't need to be checked. He was the best staff officer with whom I have ever worked. I know that he did an equally outstanding job for the Washingon State Military Department. Joan and I send Nancy and the Josue family our condolences on their great loss.

Dear Nancy, and all the Josue Family: It has been one of the greatest privileges in my life to have known Allan and to be able to call him a friend. May God bless and lift you all.##imported-begin##Paul McNeil##imported-end##
Nancy. America has lost another great soldier. I am sorry for your loss and the loss to all of us. Allan was a great friend and a great representative of the human race as to what a good person should be. Allan and I have know each other since before EMD. I will miss him. Allan was one of the kindest and helpful persons I have ever worked with. He was the best example of the word gentleman that I have known. He will be missed by all.##imported-begin##Mark Stewart##imported-end##
